A week back – No better word to describe me .I dont know what I am doing in this institute because I dont feel like studying, attending the classes or even chatting.Guess its a crisis time in my life.Missing home like hell and the scorching heat has become a pain in the neck.
Present day – I am happy and comfy , sitting in front of the laptop watching movies (which means I have regained my sanity),chatting with friends and even the sun is no longer a bother. This is what happens when you’ve met your parents and sister and cousins and non existent dogs(in short your entire family)after an age.It happened earlier this week and I had such a nice time.I would run short of adjectives to describe my joy.We saw a cricket match , all of us sitting together, something I thought would never happen again and had great home made food to eat.Told my Pa about my future plans and did loads of shopping too (nothing beats this)!!Came back to college , did practically nothing the whole day which is such a good thing to happen this sem,saw the movie 300 and after a very very long time really enjoyed the dialogues of a movie. What made it better was that the female lead came across as such a strong character.Everything was going well but there comes the cricket match with billions of expectant eyes and zillions of hopes which were thrashed by a below par performance by Indians. On hindsight its good because the better team won and I genuinely beleive that Bangladesh should proceed to the next stage because they showed grit and class when it was required the most.
A suitable climax for this post would be a great Sunday with no work to do and no books to touch. But I just forgot this is IIITH!

I agree that on first look it seems such an insane topic to blog on but being a vegan(in quotes) I can conclude that it sometimes leads to situations and amazing ones they are.I love reading up about people especially ones in the movie industry and eventually I dont gain anything except an estimate of the number of break ups one has had.Of late I have noticed something interesting though , a special mention is made about the person’s eating habits – to be precise whether the person eats meat or is a vegan.
I never knew that being a vegan was such an achievment maybe because thats what I have been all my life but for some its such a huge deal.People in the West look at vegetarians with such high regard as if they have attained sainthood or something of that proportion.Hilarious , but its good that the perspective is changing. There are a few people who cant live without eating meat for a single day and I think for them it must be a real test staying in IIIT where we all seem to have become animal loving homosapiens not by choice but by circumstances.
Going to restaurants in a group throw up several incidents with respect to the forementioned issue. There are a few who have to eat NV , there are a few who have to eat Veg and then there are others who can have best of both worlds. We had a debate in the first year during the English class on animal rights or something around that topic and I can recollect how one of us had debated saying that if animals are a source of food (which is more or less indulegence/pleasure) then whats wrong in using them for lab experiments. Why such hue and cry over tests on animals when one kills and feeds of them – an act that can be done off with. Why raise objections on people wearing fur coats – when you have had one of such animals for supper.Interesting observations but at the end of it all the fact that so many celebrities are turning herbivorous just goes to show the willingness to sarifice for the sake of showing their love for animals or for losing weight or for publicity or to make up for something cruel done to an animal by you in the past and get off the hook!!
PS: I have officially lost it ! I simply cant find topics to blog on.
-> Have been listening to the song ‘Nothings gonna change my love for you ‘ for the past 48 hours and its one of the very very few love songs that I find convey love.
->Its weekend and come to think of it I still feel the same.Unusual for someone who loves Sats and Suns.
->Saw Blood Diamond today and Leo was phenomenal. If he continues this way he may soon replace Ed Norton and Christian Bale from my list of fav actors.
